Gosport is on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour. It has a long military history and until the late 20th century was a naval town. Today Gosport is home to HMS Sultan. This is the home of the Defence School of Marine Engineering, and the Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School.

Gosport Marina is well-positioned with immediate access to the Solent. The marina is 500m from the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour.

The marina can hold up to 500 boats up to 29m in length. It has a working boatyard with a crane, dry stack and fuel. The marina has been awarded the Yacht Harbour Association’s Five Gold Anchors award.
