What the Owners Say We have lived in St Lawrence for 25 years now. The village is renowned for its friendliness, centred around all the water based activities one could imagine. Living here has been a dream and a privilege as homes in this position rarely come to the open market. We have our own natural air conditioning in summer from the sea air and enjoy cosy winters with the wood burning stove. Seasons change but the views never tire.

Setting & Location St Lawrence is a charming maritime coastal village on the south bank of the Blackwater Estuary, much admired for its friendly community. The area is also a designated SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), a much protected area which attracts coastal wildlife and migrating birds. This includes the frequent sighting of Seals (a colony residing nearby) and bird watching Avocets, Oyster Catchers, Little Egrets, Marsh Harriers and Brent Geese to name a few.

The property has two sailing clubs within walking distance; the nearby Stone Sailing Club and Marconi Sailing Club. St Lawrence also hosts Stone Watersport Club for jet skiers, water skiers. Other popular pastimes include Rowing, Windsurfing, Swimming, Fishing and Kayaking.

Bradwell Marina, one of the largest and best sited marinas on the East Coast is approximately a 10-minute drive. There are also two excellent Golf Clubs situate at Burnham on Crouch and Cold Norton both of which are approximately a 20-minute drive.

Immediately in front of the house is an additional lawn area (to store tenders/Kayaks etc) with double gates and access up to the publicly accessed sea wall and beach below. Our clients frequently sail to Suffolk rivers (6 hour sail), Brightlingsea and more locally around the Blackwater Estuary. You can never tire from the living painting which is presented directly in front of the house.
