The setting and scenery are simply wonderful nestled amongst wooded hillsides alongside the river Colwyn just a short distance from the impressive Aberglaslyn Gorge and beneath the impressive slopes of Moel Hebog, views of which can be enjoyed from Plas Tan Y Graig.

The property provides excellent four star accommodation ideal for all those who wish to come to this part of the world to enjoy the splendid mountain scenery. whichever direction you take from the village will lead to further delights. There’s the Nant Gwynant Valley nearby on the southern slopes of the Snowdon Massif with rocky outcrops and stunning lake – an ever popular destination for walkers, campers and fishermen.

The slopes of Snowdon can easily be accessed from Beddgelert with the outline of the mountain constantly changing shape depending on from where you decide to tackle it. The welsh highland railway now stops at Beddgelert on its travels from Caernarfon to Porthmadog bringing even more travellers to the village. According to legend, the stone monument in Beddgelert marks the resting place of ‘Gelert’, the faithful hound.of the medieval welsh Prince Llewelyn the Great.

“We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Plas Tan y Graig. The room was clean, comfortable and the en-suite had a good shower. There is a small fridge in the room which is handy. an excellent breakfast with a good range of options was served each morning. Tony and sharon were very informative and have plenty of books on walks in the area and laminated maps for guests to plan their days. sharon recommended a good route for us to climb Mount Snowdon - we took her advice and the views were magnificent. They also provided us with a scrumptious packed lunch at a very reasonable price which we enjoyed whilst taking in the magnificent scenery”.
